Cake batter
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter/margarine; melted
Sauce
2 cups brown sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 1/4 cups hot water
1. Preheat oven to 180° c.
2. For the cake batter - mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together. Add milk and melted butter/margarine to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth. Pour into 9 inch baking pan.
3. Topping - mix sugar, cocoa powder, and water until sugar and cocoa dissolve. Pour over top of cake. Bake in 180° c for approximately 45 minutes or until cake is done when tested with a cake tester/skewer.
4. Serve dusted with cocoa powder and a dollop of whipped cream.
Bahan-bahan kek
2 cawan tepung gandum
1 ½ cawan gula kastor
2 sudu besar serbuk koko
1 ½ sudu besar serbuk penaik (baking powder)
1/2 sudu teh garam
1 cawan susu
1/2 cawan mentega/marjerin, dicairkan
Bahan-bahan sos
2 cawan gula perang
6 sudu besar serbuk koko
3 ¼ cawan air mendidih dicampurkan dengan 2 sudu besar serbuk kopi
Cara-cara
1) Panaskan ketuhar kepada 180°c.
2) Untuk adunan kek, campurkan tepung, gula kastor, koko, serbuk penaik (baking powder) dan garam bersama-sama. Tambah susu dan mentega/marjerin cair kepada bahan-bahan kering. Campurkan sehingga sebati. Tuang ke dalam dulang pembakar 9 inci.
3) Campurkan gula perang, serbuk koko, dan air mendidih sehingga gula dan koko larut. Tuangkan ke atas adunan kek. Bakar pada suhu 180°c selama kira-kira 45 minit atau hingga kek masak.
4) Hidangkan dengan ditaburkan dengan serbuk koko dan krim putar.
